This is the rare instance in which my powers of description are weak against the photos I took.

Fortunately, that place will only remain in my imagination. I'm pulled into it every time because of that vast peace. I could read there, I could write there, I could never be bored by it. Those are my three requirements of any place.

I've been lax in writing more about the family trip to Henderson and back in January, but we stopped at that mall in the evening on the way out of Nevada because there's a Williams-Sonoma outlet store, and Meridith was curious, being the chef that she is, and I wanted to see if there was any mustard on sale. I found a whole-grain dijon mustard directly from France there for $3.99. I bought it because it's rare to find a mustard like that for only $3.99. Not my favorite, as it turned out, but one I want to study.

I also wanted to see if the major Las Vegas souvenir store there had any bookmarks. None. However, I spent 20 minutes standing in front of a small flatscreen TV, watching a sampler of a DVD (also available in Blu-Ray) that featured scenes of Las Vegas, including the Bellagio fountains, the outdoor pirate ship show at Treasure Island, the volcano at Mirage, and other sights. I thought about paying $12.99 to have it at home while we wait to finally move out there, but I didn't. I might the next time we're out there, though, because I noticed on the side of the Flamingo hotel in that video was a huge ad wrap for Toni Braxton, who was performing there in 2007. Donny & Marie occupy that same spot now, so I would have a piece of Vegas history in my DVD collection.Rory L. Nice work. Funny that you would be so strongly attached to a particular place like that, having not seen the inside. That's a great imagination you have there...

Like everyone else on the west coast, I've wandered that mall in Primm. My wifey, being strongly attracted to outlet malls to begin with, is a big fan of the place.David Wagnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07594244647778062784noreply@blogger.com
